Submitted to a design contest at University, for the Yearbook cover. The domes are almost hitting the facade of Amman, with the sky up against.
The Pop theme is endorsed with curved lines, and pop themed circled inspired from the Jordanian Flag.
Looking forward to Your views :D

The main issue -shown as an example-, and something i get to experiance a lot in our BELOVED University, is that while you are waiting ,on a cold winter morning, for a class to begin some genius would pop out a cigarette and start puffing in your face, so innocently, so confidently, as if he owns the world, an i am betting in his twisted mind he thinks he does. The degree to which young people smoke in Jordan is nothing less than frightening, and for people like me to suffer from second hand smoking is just preposterous, and that applies to our every day lives. Driving has been impossible lately cause - as i see it - everyone believes that he/she owns the road, honest, its like everyone is thinking why others are using their roads, THAT is the common perception, and my observations and picked up feelings.
The demeanor shown through simple actions like smoking are deeply disturbing, and the fact that there is no common sense to understand other people "existence" and comfort level is even more worrying, Smoking itself reduces to a simple problem when people seem to ignore the simple respect for others whom with they "share" the world . A concept i seem to keep searching for since eternity.

Well it isnt, when lucky Chelsea get to play Fenerbahce, and Man Utd gets to play Rome Yet again, and Barc'a gets to play poor shalke.
WE GET TO PLAY ARSENAL, to be honest its nothing to look forward too, it will be a tough match not to mention my desires for a four way English semi finals.
Now Chelsea -more than happy to play Fenerbahce - are by far the favorites to pass this set with a drop of sweat or two. Man will be playing Rome for the fifth and sixth time in little under a year, and will have no problem trashing Rome after the humiliating 7-1 win last year.
Barc'a should have no problems to win shalke, leading to an exciting semi-final with possibly Man cant wait till that :S.
Now i say Man Vs. Barca, cause i would not be so excited to see Liverpool playing Barca or Chelsea, at the semi, liverpool has won the last 3 semi finals, knocking out Chelsea twice and barca once, so u know where i am coming from, and yes liverpool will win arsenal, 2-1 at home, 1-1 away :D

A logo is a huge focus area for a Graphic designer, especially a print designer like yours truly. Ive read many many Logo design tips on how to land the spot on logo, keep it simple, remarkable, unique, all those intuitive thoughts. I, however; have another ball game, its not that ive been in the business for ever, its what works for me and creates some kind of creative output. This is what i do. I rarely pick up a pencil and paper unless what i want is a semi raster image, all of the above pictures are strictly vector based- such as all logos must be- so intuitively you should jump to a program like illustrator, and the ( semi-program) coral draw, or freehand, any of those programs should and will get the job done. Next, I Play around with the text, applying different fonts and playing around with the pantone colors, set up initials and try to fit in letters. If , however; the client is setting a corporate brand with a symbol then this is where all the fun begins,
www. logopond.com www.faveup.com are sites amongst many that deliver great inspiration to graphic designers, and staying away as possible from curves, unless they are a exact replica of Fibonacci's curve, I go crazy playing around with anything and everything without little thought, not as helpful with logo design but certainly amazing results can be obtained when doing digital art/ design.
I practice as often as i can, go to www.worth1000.com where you can, under the jackpot menu, enter 100+ $ competitions daily to create corporate identities under real deadlines and the possibility to learn alot from the amazingly high quality and professional level of feedback seen by the other members :D

Definitely one of the best logos ive ever worked one, and by far the most proud of. Little over a year ago, i have been working hard to start some kind of freelance Print Design career along side my university studies, i have to say i am pretty happy with the projects i have been working on, and will be posting a good deal of them as time allows, Graphic design has defiantly been a factor contributing as to why i am away from my blog, but defiantly will do my best to catch up.
This is one of my latest projects, a logo for the Language center at JU, Topography is a must work on in this logo, but over all i am in love with the outcome, and the composition, as always i try to stay to the golden ratio as possible, a factor taken in consideration when building the width and height. As for the curves it has been a bit hard to incorporates the golden spirals but did my best at it.
The color scheme is a favorite of mine, Golden Orange VS Dark Royal blue, and the tints is to play around the edges and give more of a contrast and shadow feeling.
Telll me what u think, i love a harsh critique so please dont hold back :D.
Tala I hope this is more to your liking :D

So yesterday was submission deadline, we had to turn into these 3 backup logos, since we had trouble with illustrator with our other main logos.
its always fun making a logo, and its a really long procedure, but this time it was even harder, the university stated it wanted the five specializations it has integrated within the logo. that normally is not that hard, but u have to work hard to get them all together in meaningful, geometrically consistent manner, and - here is the tricky part- still visible when scaled down.
Drawing a logo starts normally with me on a sketch pad, back to a transparent drawing paper when semi finalized, then i take a photo of it, into illustrator for that nice vectory image :)
Would appreciate some input on the logos ! :)

It all seemed like a perfect day up untill that stupid referee gave that unfair penalty to Chelsea, then it all ended with a tie, Liverpool 1- Chealsea 1, which is down right wrong, them lucky ( fill in as desired) won after a next to zero ball possessions :( which just feels just wrong inside ....
and on a worst note, i was asked to deliver a 1 m by 1.5 m poster today, so i sat on my mac, and couldn't but stare at the screen, i actually couldn't put one descent design together, it was sad really.
but hay at least Manchester utd lost, thats got to count in as a great part of today :).
I had been trying to send out to Design firms in Jordan for an internship possibility, something to do and gain experience in during the month i have of university, nothing is working out, and what makes it worst is that no 1 wants to hire a 19 year old, SAD:(, i am trying to believe that the concept of internships hasn't reached Jordan yet, it should, since many prospective youth can benefit from it :)

So i was always an enthusiast when it comes to radio, i remember telling myself that i want to be a radio DJ when i grew up, its just something i loved..
like every Jordanian into English music i started out with 96.3?! Monte Carlo FM i hope i got the frequency right, and yeah it was fun while it lasted, then somewhere in the line Sawa Fm, came up , it was a new concept and i remember the fuss that i brought up with it, i -like many others- remember making tapes just recording the English songs lol.
But Sawa brought up as well a "News side" that i really hated, so i had to switch, not finding any for a while Beat FM and Play 99.6 were the greatest thing ever when they showed up.
I dont know about Beat FM I kinda like it, but Play is amazingly fantastic, i mean the shows are the best in their time, i cant get along a Uni day without hearing the big breakfast show with Lee McGrath.
Any way, the reason i am writing this post is because of the gift i received from them today, 20 latest hit songs, sent out to those who completed the radio survey the are doing, yet another great idea by what seems a very unsuccessful management.
Thanx for the CD i am enjoying it very much, keep rocking :)
